Hau Giang Biomass Power Plant is Vietnam’s first commercial biomass power plant using rice husk as fuel, invested by Hau Giang Biomass Energy Joint Stock Company (HBE). The project has a capacity of 2×10 MW, comprising two generating units, and applies conventional condensing steam turbine technology. The plant is connected to the National Power Grid via a double-circuit 22 kV transmission line approximately 6.3 km in length, running from the Hau Giang Biomass Power Plant to the 110 kV Long My Substation.
The success of the Hau Giang Biomass Power Plant project marks a significant milestone in PESE’s growth, with PESE serving as the main contractor responsible for Engineering, Procurement, Construction, Installation, Commissioning, as well as Operation and Maintenance of the entire plant.
